Packanack Lake Tennis Club is the proud home of TWO champion teams in inter-club play! BOTH of our squads won their division last season and will therefore be moving up one level as they work to defend their crowns this spring in the Northern Jersey Tennis League. Good luck, guys!
On Saturday, Oct. 27th, more than a hundred people came out for Judy Corvino Appreciation Night, to help celebrate Judy’s years of service to and leadership of the Tennis Club. In commemoration of her unrivaled contributions to the Tennis Club, the first and only PLTC Medal of Honor was presented to Judy by Club member Natalia Sout (nee Shaposhnikova), a two-time Olympic Gold medalist herself (1980; vault and team gymnastics). Representatives of other Lake clubs and organizations in which Judy was active also expressed their thanks, including Rev. Karyn Ratcliffe, who gave Judy a comforter on behalf of the Packanack Community Church. The Lakeside Restaurant provided delicious food for the event, for which Club member Trish DiCenso and husband David are owed special thanks. Best of all, Judy enjoyed the heck out of the whole thing. Thanks to all whose efforts made the evening such a pleasure and success, especially Bill Baker, de facto chairman of the event committee.
